The Thermal Systems business was established in 1996, with a keen eye to manufacture Auto Air Conditioners for leading car brands Toyota and Suzuki in Pakistan. Operations subsequently grew to encompass Heater Blower and Air Conditioner Controls. This was followed by the induction of Heater Core, Condensers and subsequently Thal Engineering became the only company to manufacture Aluminum Radiators for automobiles in Pakistan.
From the very inception of the Thermal division, Thal Engineering has maintained its superiority and product quality by focussing on delivering the best in class. In 1996, a Technical Assistance Agreement was signed with Denso Japan – the second largest auto parts maker in the world, listed on the Fortune 500 and also the largest in Japan. This strategic alliance paved the way for Thermal Systems division to continue the uninterrupted manufacture and supply of auto parts enabling millions of journeys every day.
A strategic partnership between Thal Engineering and Denso Corporation, Japan led to the establishment of the Engine Component Business (ECB). A relatively new addition to our portfolio, this division started by manufacturing Starters and Alternators for Toyota vehicles in July 2014.

In the year 2000, Thal Engineering signed a Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) with Furukawa Electric Company, Japan – one of the leading suppliers of automotive wire harness systems in the world with more than 50 subsidiaries operating in twenty countries. Through this partnership, the Electrical Systems division of Thal Engineering was born and has since established itself as the leader in the manufacture of car wiring systems that are readily supplied to all automobile companies in Pakistan.
Following this success, Thal Engineering signed yet another Technical Assistance Agreement in 2018 with Yazaki Corporation to further expand its footprint as the premier supplier of automotive wire harness systems in Pakistan. Yazaki Corporation of Japan lends its expertise to this enterprise as a leading automotive component manufacturer in markets across the world. With plans to dominate the manufacture of wire harness systems, Thal Engineering recently set up its plant at Port Qasim, Karachi to enhance its production capacity and maintain its leadership position.
Established in 1983, AuVitronics (AVT) was originally a state of the art Audio & Video Cassette manufacturing business. As technology evolved and Cassettes became obsolete, the business diversified into Auto Parts in the year 2000. Today, the company has also diversified into Health Care Packaging, Building Materials and Custom Molding Services along with producing Auto Parts for nearly every locally assembled vehicle in Pakistan.
AVT was the first Automotive Lamps Manufacturing Facility in Pakistan with technical assistance from Koito Manufacturing Co. of Japan. The steering wheel plant operated by AVT was also set up with technical assistance from Krause Maffei of Germany. In total, AVT is currently engaged in nine foreign collaborations which are the basis for cutting edge manufacturing facilities and practices which have allowed us to capture a significant share of the Auto Parts industry.

In 2013, a joint venture between Toyota Boshoku and Thal Limited led to the creation of Thal Boshoku – which joins the eminent list of auto parts manufacturing businesses operating under our ambit.
As one of the newest OEM manufacturers in Pakistan, Thal Boshoku’s operations include producing Air Cleaners, Seat Tracks, Side Frames and soon it will also produce Car Seats for locally assembled vehicles. A state of the art production facility has been set up at Port Qasim in Karachi where test units have been produced and mass production is set to commence this year.
Agriauto Industries Limited – one of the leading automotive part manufacturer in Pakistan, headquartered in Karachi, was incorporated in the year 1981. The Company, which is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange is also the first company in Pakistan to obtain the renowned, TS16949 certification.

The Company has access to international technical expertise through comprehensive Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs) with world renowned auto part makers such as M/s KYB Corporation (Japan), M/s Ride Control LLC (USA), M/s Ogihara (Thailand), M/s Shiroki Corporation (Japan), M/s Aisin Seiki (Japan), M/s Sannou Riken (Japan) as well as KYB Motorcycle Suspension (Japan). With the help from these technical partners, the Company is able to manufacture and supply high quality, reliable and genuine auto parts to its esteemed customers.
In order to cater to customers’ growing volumes, the Company continually invests in modernizing and expanding its manufacturing facilities, which recently included shock absorber assembly line expansion, upgrading of paint shop, head rest and seat stay project, addition of mechanical presses and welding gantries.
